At Stella Maris School our children develop lots of skills for life, as well as making excellent progress in their academic subjects. General Knowledge is a skill which is essential for life and our children learn a lot of interesting information about topics, which may not necessarily be part of the National Curriculum. One of the many benefits of being an independent school is that we can set our own curriculum and have the flexibility to add extra educational themes to our bespoke curriculum, which enhances the children’s learning and acquisition of skills. Developing a love for learning is at the heart of every sound curriculum. Acquiring additional knowledge in a wide range of topics outside of curriculum subjects is an effective way to increase ability and to make academic progress.
