Our children enjoy visits by guest speakers who deliver presentations on a variety of topics and themes. Recently we had a visit from a member of Blue Cross, who presented a very interesting and informative assembly on dog safety. Increasing our children’s knowledge on how to look after themselves as they grow up is a very important part of our PSHE curriculum. During the assembly the children were able to learn about what to do and what not to do when meeting unfamiliar dogs when they are playing in the park or if they were to encounter a stray dog. This invaluable information gives our children skills for life, as well as educating them on how to keep safe if they find themselves in a challenging situation with an unknown dog.
