School Uniform
We’re very proud of our uniform. It is practical and smart, is designed with health & safety in mind, lessens distractions in the classroom, makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance, identifies children as being from Stella Maris School, and promotes a sense of belonging and pride in the school.

General Points
All items of clothing should be clearly marked with the pupil’s name. Outdoor, gym and games shoes must be marked with permanent ink. Caps and hats must be of school uniform issue only and no other colour or style is allowed.
Winter coats must be dark blue or black.
We kindly ask that parents observe these uniform rules at all times.
Hair must be of a sensible style (no tram lines, beads etc). Long hair must be tied back and kept out of the child’s eyes. All hair ties, bobbles, hair bands and clips must be plain and in the school colours, i.e. Blue or white. Bright colours are not allowed.
Make-Up & Nail Polish are not permitted in school.
Jewellery is forbidden due to Health & Safety, with the exception of a plain watch (if the child can tell the time). Children wishing to have their ears pierced must do so at the beginning of the summer holidays and ensure that they are removed before the new school term begins.
Books, Stationery and General Equipment
Exercise books and textbooks are provided by the school but will be charged for if lost or damaged.
Junior children require a sensible sized bag for their games kit, a separate waterproof bag is advised for outside football boots and also swimwear.
