However, the best way of really seeing us in operation is to come and have a look at the school during a working day. Our children make our school special and seeing them in action is the evidence of why we have remained a popular choice for families across the Heatons and beyond for many years.

At Stella Maris School we endeavour to put the children at the centre of everything we do. Our mission is to educate, nurture and instil traditional values and cherish our children. We inspire them to achieve their best in every aspect of their lives.

For over 40 years Stella Maris School has provided outstanding and affordable independent education for our children. We have served the different needs of a flourishing population of pupils aged 3-11. Our warm, safe community and small class sizes allow children to make friends quickly and learn fast with talented, motivated and inspirational teachers who really get to know each individual child. Our superb academic record of grammar school entrance exam success speaks for itself but equally, we’re justifiably proud of our pupils’ extra-curricular achievements through a variety of pursuits from sport to music, drama and art as well as developing further skills in many other subject areas. As well as providing an independent Curriculum which focuses on academic excellence we educate the whole child and focus on developing communication and social skills which build a child’s confidence in every area of their development. This excellent skill set enables our children to leave our Year 6 class at 11 years old as confident and well-balanced children, who continue to succeed at every stage of their future lives.
