Religious Celebrations at Stella Maris School

At Stella Maris School all children are taught to be respectful, tolerant and to show interest in learning about World Religions. As a Catholic school the children learn about the similarities between all religions as part of the school’s independent RE curriculum. These are important lessons for life. We have various religious denominations in school, so the children enjoy celebrating each other’s festivals and special feasts and learning about them. This week the children enjoyed the Eid celebrations and a lovely display celebrating this occasion was created in the school hall by one of our parents. The children also celebrated the World Day of Prayer last Friday and prayed for peace in all parts of our World, as we enter the Christian season of Lent.
