At Stella Maris School children are taught to be mindful of the importance of home and family and to show understanding for people who are not as fortunate as they are. Our School Council recently discussed the issue of homelessness and decided to devote their Spring Term fundraising proceeds to a homeless charity called EveryYouth UK. They delivered their message  through a dedicated assembly and their captive audience were quite surprised to hear about how many young people there are in these unfortunate circumstances. Today the charity staged a national “wear your slippers to school day” and the whole school community got involved.
